Neil is the President and sole shareholder of the law offices of Neil F. Lewis, P.A., which he founded in 1997. Neil has practiced immigration law exclusively his entire career. He has represented thousands of clients since he opened his own firm and his extensive experience has made him one of the preeminent immigration law authorities in Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States Middle District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Neil has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1996 and has served as a Board Member and Officer of the local AILA chapter. He has also spoken at and served as a moderator at nationwide AILA conferences. The Hillsborough County Public Defenders and other local bar associations have invited Neil to speak about and discuss complex deportation issues because of his expertise in these matters. He is regularly featured in the Tampa Bay Times and on Spanish language radio stations with regard to immigration law topics. Neil has shared his knowledge and experience by conducting Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars and offering his support and guidance to many attorneys who seek to venture into immigration law.
Prior to being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1996, Neil graduated from the School of Law at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He was elected by his law school peers to be the President of the Student Bar Association and he was awarded the Dean’s Certificate for his service and contributions to the law school. He is also a member of MENSA due to his high IQ. Before law school, Neil received his undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina, where he enrolled after he was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps after serving from 1983 to 1987. Neil served in the Philippines and Okinawa during his time in the Marines.
Neil strongly believes in providing his clients with honest and efficient representation. He provides his services and expertise when it is needed, never when it is unnecessary. Viviana Saletnig, Esq.

Viviana emigrated from Colombia to the United States with her parents when she was 11 years old. After graduating from Barron Collier High School in Naples, Florida, Viviana made the decision to move away from her parents and enrolled at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Viviana was a full-time student and worked full time jobs throughout college. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications /Advertising with minors in Sociology and Communications from the University of South Florida in 2009.
Viviana became acquainted with immigration law while helping with her older brother’s immigration case and eventually hiring Mr. Neil Lewis for her brother’s case. That experience inspired her to pursue a career in immigration law and she began working as Mr. Lewis’s legal assistant in 2010. She is an instrumental part of the law offices of Neil F. Lewis, P.A. and is involved in most aspects of every case.
Viviana was accepted into law school and completed her law studies while being employed at Neil F. Lewis, P.A. full-time. Viviana graduated law school cum laude with her Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Viviana is now a member of the Florida Bar and an associate attorney with Neil F. Lewis, P.A.
From her own experience with the immigration and naturalization process, Viviana is able to efficiently and empathetically help clients with their concerns and questions, both in Spanish and English. She finds satisfaction in helping clients achieve the American dream.
Ms. Chariliz Lugo
Senior Legal Assistant
Chariliz is a Florida native. She attended Valencia Community College and obtained her Associate in Arts degree in 2017. Upon completion of her degree, she decided to move from Orlando to Tampa in search for better opportunities. Chariliz joined the Neil F. Lewis, P.A. team in 2018 as a full-time receptionist and now serves as our Senior Legal Assistant with various responsibilities including meeting with current and prospective clients, interpreting for Spanish speaking clients, completing client forms and assisting the attorneys in preparing complex immigration submissions.
Chariliz is an instrumental part of the law offices of Neil F. Lewis, P.A. and is involved in most aspects of every case. Throughout her involvement with the law firm, she has found a true passion in helping others achieve legal permanent status in the United States. She is also fluent in Spanish.
